Frequently asked questions

A1 is the beginner level: you learn the basics and can use simple words and sentences. At A2 you can already hold short conversations about familiar, everyday subjects and express yourself at greater length.

We are happy to work that out together. During a short phone intake we discuss your experience with French, what you can already do and what you want to achieve. That way we can recommend the course that suits you best.

Yes. If you have learned French before, we look at which level fits best. You do not have to start at A1 again if you already have the basics.

Yes. On request you can receive a certificate of attendance after the course, stating the level you followed.

These are the CEFR levels. A1 and A2 are the basic levels, B1 and B2 stand for independent use of the language and C1 for advanced use. Each level describes what you can do in understanding, speaking and writing.

That differs from person to person and depends on your starting level, your pace, how much you practise and how much contact you have with the language. We work step by step and are happy to advise you on a realistic path.

Yes. We work with small groups, so there is plenty of room to speak, ask questions and get personal feedback.
