Where are you going to celebrate carnival? Maybe in Nice, where the largest carnival in France is. This year, the party kicks off on February 15th and continues through the 29th. Expect extravagant parades with flowers, lights, ‘grosses têtes’ and above all: party.
Parades can be seen every day; the ‘Corso Carnavalesque’, ‘Bataille de fleurs’ and in the evening ‘Corso Carnavalesque Illuminé’. On the last evening, King Carnival is burned in the sea. And like any self-respecting French party, everything ends with fireworks.
