We may all be longing for the sunny southern French landscape in the summer right now. Antoinette dans les Cévennes is a good film to dream away with.
You’ll just be a teacher and having an affair with the father of one of your students. Antoinette (played by Laure Calamy, known from Dix Pour Cent, among others) has set her sights on a romantic week with her lover, but it is canceled. And that’s why Antoinette books a walking week through the Cevennes with a donkey. This leads to funny situations, happy encounters and sweet moments.
The route in the movie – the Stevinson route – really exists and you see a lot of the scenery. You feel like doing the route yourself, but then with such a nice donkey as the one Antoinette walks with…!
